Mainstage Gaming Network publishes a monthly update to our community and we are eager to hear your feedback. Please email playnow@mainstagegn.com to share suggestions or request information and support@mainstagegn.com for support requests.

Summary / TL;DR:
Last month, we announced our team growth — we’ve leveled up to a team of SEVEN! This month, we focus on the growth of our active communities. High Schools are almost back in session and signups are coming in from multiple states, Charlotte Independence has a new sponsor for their esports and gets an in-person event, and we announced our new collegiate branding!!

  1. High School Leagues: We are counting down to season 2 — registrations open September 1st!
  2. MCEA: We officially launched the Mainstage Collegiate Esports Association (MCEA) for all of our college conference competitions!
  3. Mainstage Gaming Platform: We are excited to begin accepting registrations for early access to the Mainstage Gaming Network.

High School League:

We are expecting significant growth in our league this season. High Schools across South Carolina and some in North Carolina will compete in 6 games over 4 months with one school being declared the High School Esports Champion. This season’s games will consist of:

  • Apex — Switch/Xbox/PS/PC (format is elimination races)
  • Fortnite — Switch/Xbox/PS/PC (format is customs/creative)
  • Rocket League — Switch/Xbox/PS/PC (3v3 format)
  • Overwatch — Xbox/PS/PC (6v6 format)
  • Valorant — PC (5v5 format)
  • Super Smash Bros — Switch (1v1 format)
  • Mario Kart — (12 player races)

Tentative streaming dates are as follows:

  • Sept- 18/19
  • Oct- 2/3
  • Oct- 16/17
  • Nov- 6/7
  • Championship TBD in November*

We will be holding an orientation stream for athletes, school faculty, and parents to learn the rules, league ops, and hold a general Q/A session.

Mainstage Collegiate Esports Association

Earlier this week, we announced the birth of the MCEA. These schools, coaches, and fans are pumped to start competing in September. Our first streamed event will feature UNCC vs. Clemson University.

We could not be more excited to see the best in the Carolinas go head-to-head and are proud to support the growth of the college esports!

Mainstage Gaming Platform

While helping build so many tournaments, leagues, and gaming groups we’ve been hard at work defining the biggest problems in the industry so we can create the best possible tool for organizations to turn their existing communities into gaming communities. We will be publishing a link to register for beta access at the end of August! If you want to get in early, and score some unique rewards for participating in our beta, follow our Twitter to get in line first!

We are still growing! Follow us on LinkedIn to see our job opportunities. Most immediately, we are looking to hire more Competition Managers to work with organizations in different regions and support their gaming events and leagues. Soon we will be looking for Front End Engineers (React/ Typescript), QA Engineers, and Design as we build out our technology team!
